I'm pondering to improve verse comparison feature in biblesearch.es. Would there be any clear improvements or features to make the current verse comparison better (better UX for example). Just finished a minor update, now the user's selected Bible translation is highlighted and moved at the top...

@Bible_Highlighter Good points, I definitely agree. I think the most value in those commentaries comes from "history" point of view. They show early/earlier theological thinking and understanding, which I find quite interesting.

I integrated the brilliant Historical Christian Commentaries Database to biblesearch.es search engine: https://www.biblesearch.es Now it is possible to read verse commentaries from early Church Fathers and theologians (from the start of Christianity to 1960's). Around 60 000 commentaries from...

Do you believe that by works a man is justified; and not by faith only?

1 Corinthians 13:2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

Are only those who are born-again saved?

@NightTwister What is your thinking/opinion about children and being born again/being saved?

Are only those who are born-again saved?

No. My stance is children will be saved because of what Jesus Christ did on the cross. Children, too, are affected by sin, but they don't need to be born again to be saved (because I think children/babies etc. do not born again, they are innocent). After a certain point one needs to be born...

Are only those who are born-again saved?

The GotQuestions article I linked earlier gives some explanation to this. My assumption is based on that. John 9:41 Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth. James 4:17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth...

Are only those who are born-again saved?

I assume children, especially younger ones like babies, are not born again. Instead, I think they are innocent. Galatians 5 gives some light about what is it to be born again: 16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusteth...

Are only those who are born-again saved?

Here are some good points about this: https://www.gotquestions.org/do-babies-go-to-heaven.html While even young children do sin, but I think they are not held guilty by it. I think the same applies to people with mental disabilities too, who cannot comprehend right and wrong.

Are only those who are born-again saved?

I tend to think children are saved anyway, but regarding adults, one must be born-again to be saved.

    Scripture Based Flat Earth Proposition

I think the "windows of heaven" indicates entrance to the heaven (where God dwells). So we, humans, can't explore the origin of rain which happened during the great flood (except that it was in the sky, not in "outer space", see Genesis 8:2). Like in Malachi 3:10 "...if I will not open you the...

I have been working on a Bible search engine as a hobby project of mine: https://www.biblesearch.es/ It is a semantic Bible search engine which searches (currently) over 16 versions of the Bible and displays the results from a selected Bible version. Basic verse comparison is also available...

    Bible "data"

Good work! It would be really nice if the openbible.com data had some version information regarding the precise version of the Bible data it has (i.e. which KJV precisely). This is also interesting, why many Bible translations include the headings in Psalm 119 (but not all)...

    Bible "data"

Verse numbers are not included in the total count, but I included numbers just to be sure no text that is talking something about numbers would be missing (I'm not actually sure if there are any plain number characters in the scripture). I was stripping "unnecessary" characters off with this...
