First pick a place that it is most fitting, like if it is a bible discussion, post it there. If it is a blog, there, and if it is random, I always pick Miscellaneous. You can also do a trial and error to see where you want to post. The awesome component is there are many options. Welcome and looking forward to seeing you around and reading what you have to say.

Actually you can't start your own forum but you can create your own thread such as the one that you just created that deals with a specific topic. To receive the most responses put the new thread in an appropriate forum. Glad to have you onboard with us. Welcome to CC.

1. Study web development.
2. Get your own server, or rent hosting space.
3. Research forum platforms, and pick a nice one.
4. Install it and set it up.
5. Get your SEO working so people can find it.
6. Do a bit of marketing.
7. Find people crazy enough to be admins, to help you manage the users.
8. Reinstall the site from good backups whenever angry atheists try to hack it down.
9. Try to sell it to someone else, because managing it won't be much fun, and you're going to feel like it was all a huge mistake.
