Putin has been betrayed, and that is not a good thing

Currently there is a "mobilization" and coordinated effort by Zelenski to attack the logistical section of the Russian army.
And it's working.
Russia doesn't "own" the sky over Ukraine anymore. And as Russian soldiers try to consolidate their positions friendly fire is taking its toll.

Some of the latest allies with Ukraine are Georgia and Azerbaijan. (Who recently attacked Iran with Israel made munitions)

Also with the latest round of conscripted soldiers....they require time to train to use the sophisticated technology that Russia has....and it is grudgingly that they do learn....and for probably not as long as regular volunteers are allowed to train before being put into the field.

Weather conditions play a crucial role in all of this....can Putin get his latest soldiers in place with equipment before the ground turns into a mud pit? (Cold and muddy men eat too much food)

Ukraine's success if completely attributable to NATO and the US. Russia is not going to surrender anymore than Hitler was going to surrender. This is going to go nuclear.

So you would rather be a slave to fear than be free?

There was a time to address this situation long before now. But that's spilt milk at the moment. And it's not just NATO & the USA that is upset with Russia. Azerbaijan, Poland, Germany, Georgia, Turkey, and many others are aiding Ukraine in their struggle. Just because they don't make headlines doesn't mean they are so passive.

I have friends in that neighborhood. They are rightfully worried. And they are not worried about countries like Ukraine attacking them. There is only one bear. Ukraine happens to remember the potato famine of the 30's...when Stalin exported every last crumb of food out of Ukraine....the people starved to death even though they grew more than enough food to feed everyone in the USSR.

Ahhh, anyone who disagrees with sending $140 billion in weapons to Ukraine and starting WWIII with Russia is "a slave to fear rather than free". No thanks, not interested in your version of freedom. However, I support your right to take up arms and go to Ukraine. When you get there send us a note to let us know how it is going. And know that what you are doing will have a positive impact on the world for years to come as your carcass will help fertilize the Ukraine.

Mr. Z gives us advice on how to fight Russia

Zelensky suggests we hit Russia with a preemptive nuclear strike so they will know what it is like.

You can't shoot down the balloon. It might have bioweapons in it, or it might have chemical weapons, you don't really know what it is. Could have a bomb that detonates if it drops to a certain altitude.

BTW the US tested bioweapons to see if they released them from airplanes if they could infect people on the ground.

The worst threat of a balloon

If this a balloon is releasing a biological weapon that has a seven day incubation period you would want this to begin releasing the agent seven days before you attack. Because at exactly the same time we go to war (think Pearl Harbor) we have key people all over the country getting sick. They would feel that have no choice but show up to man the battle stations and so they would infect everyone in the military. Imagine the chaos after a major EMP hitting, all power going out and week later you have military personnel at bases all over the country getting deathly sick and how difficult it would be to treat them and keep your men at battle stations.

The other key threat of this balloon is that it has an EMP

It is at the perfect elevation to take out the electric grid of the continental US and it will be directly over the center of the US shortly. It's path is taking it south of St. Louis, MO.

Why can't it be a wayward weather balloon?

We have two options here.

1. Let's just see what happens, what is the worst that could happen? EMP, bioweapon, etc.

or

2. We could shoot it down, what is the worst that could happen? It could turn out to be a weather balloon and maybe someone would make fun of us overreacting.

Could be a coincidence that a weather balloon got off course from China and just happens to be headed directly over the center of the US.
