How do I believe? Not sure what Santa has to do with any of this.
If you really want me to explain my understanding I will later when I have more time
I only want to know do you believe because you want to or made to?

[Jhn 6:40 KJV] 40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

[Jhn 6:44, 54 KJV]
44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. ...
54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

[Jhn 6:45 KJV]
45 It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.
You are committing the "negative inference fallacy". https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Negat...y committed, yet both premises are affirmative.
Your line of argument is highly flawed.

Many people came to Jesus drawn by the Father who were against Christ and remained against Him. Judas Iscariot was attracted to Jesus because of what the Father was doing and saying through Jesus. Pharisees and sadduces came to Jesus to tes him, judge Him, oppose and accuse Him because of what the Father was doing and saying through Jesus. And every one of them, whether saved or still unsaved, will be raised by Him on the last day.
Which verses are you referring to?

First thing the Holy Spirit isn’t an it, He’s a person.
Second, are you saying during salvation the Spirit makes us an offer?
You guys keep dancing around but all who can read clearly see what YOU had to do in order to believe.

You had to accept the Gift of salvation, it was not forced on you and you were not made to accept it.

I wonder if being made alive is different than being born again, and if having one's heart circumcised
guarantees that one will attain to life ever after. Some say yes, which is why I wonder. Some say you
cannot hear or experience God if you are not born again, but I had multiple encounters over many years
that spanned into decades before laying down my opposition to God and surrendering my will and my
life to Him. Also, it is the Holy Spirit of God that convicts the world of sin. Surely they experience that
before they are made alive, before coming to believe, before being born again?
Words are kind of like semantics
I say by God I am forgiven and believe that, therefore God saved me by that belief to God, which, that I will not quit, or ever deny God, having no doubt. Have any doubt and God waits and waits for the people to get out of doubt, does not establish those that doubt, even a modicum (Isaiah 7:1-9) The same as one reads in Job. I see this when I read that book of Job. God puts my name the in place of Job. I hear God saying, I will not deny God either, God is telling you the same. trusting for you to hear it too.
Woe, woe is me

Isaiah 6:1-7

King James Version

6 In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lordsitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.
2 Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.
3 And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.
4 And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.
5 Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts.
6 Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar:
7 And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.

In the risen Son is proof from God, Son is the way, the truth and new life offered for us the people to be saved.
Believe, receive and eventually see if one does not quit. one will see eventually not quitting, especially, whenever going through troubles here on earth first. Will, we go through troubles and continue to believe God, as Job did, and then see even deeper as Jesus did with " the art of fighting without fighting" then resurrected on the third day. seen by over 500 witnesses then, and even the Pharisees saw him as risen also. Col 2 talks of this truth too
Believe God, receive from God
Born again, (made new) whatever word(s) convey God's truth is God's communication that does this for the people that remain in belief to his love and mercy for them by Son to them, see this to stand in God's rest

Hebrews 4:9-13

King James Version

9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

trusting God not self or anyone else as I see hypo are seeing this also

Nope and you say that because you don't recognize Christ as the Saviour.

Roger is saying he's a Robot.

Where in the Bible does it show us those saved are Robots?

Choose this day whom ye will serve...does not sound like a robot.

But Roger claims he is one!

Jesus said, "No one van come to me unless the Father draws Him." Judas came to Jesus and was part of His inner circle. How did he come to Jesus without the Father drawing Him?

So did scribes and pharisees come to Jesus to argue Matt. 15:1. How did they come to Jesus without being drawn by the Father.
Matt. 19:3 Phatrisees came to Jesus to test Him.
Matt 15:30 Crowds came to Jesus to be healed.

All were drawn to Him by the Father, according to Jesus.

That was to OT national Israel, not for eternal salvation.

They heard the Gospel preached is my meaning.

And the Israelites always had Prophets telling them what to do.
So, they can by Son's done work be fulfilled in us the believers of God as well. Thanks watch out for the leaven of the pharisees, still alive today in religion please? (Gal 3:19-26)

In Son, Jesus the Law and Prophets are filled as he said this in

Matthew 5:17

King James Version

17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

John 19:30

King James Version

30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

Hebrews 9:14-17

King James Version

14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.
16 For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.
17 For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.

Hebrews 1:1-4

King James Version

1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:
4 Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.

Are you referring to the gospel of John? I may be missing something but I don't find a chapter 65 in John.

I edited it to John 5:28-29. So, you must have fired your response off within 5 minutes of my posting it.

PaulThomson said:
Wrong. All will be raised on the last day: some to aeonous honour and some to aeonous contempt. The believers are not the only ones who are raised by Christ on the last day. John 65:28-29; Dan. 12:2

All will be raised. Your negative inference fallacy is perverting your understanding of Jesus' words.

Anyone who believes they received the Gift of salvation must do as Peter instructs...

10 Therefore, brothers, be all the more diligent to confirm your calling and election

That's a choice to confirm that you are saved.

So it is IMPOSSIBLE to be a Robot like Roger and be saved because you must CONFIRM your Election.
