Interesting. Is there an actual Scripture that states this, or is that info from another source?
It was commanded of Moses to ceremonially cleanse/consecrate priests in Leviticus 16, and
Exodus 29. The mikvah was also used for other ceremonial cleansing purposes under the law,
but Jesus had no need of being cleansed in that way, since He had no sin to repent of, yet He
said John must baptize Him in order for Him to fulfill all righteousness. Some believe Christians
must be baptized in order for their sins to be forgiven, but worldly water does not have the power
to do that. It is symbolic, and the pledge of a clear conscience toward God, as Peter says in 1 3:21.
And if you think about it, we have become priests too, again as per 1 Peter 2:9. The saving baptism
is being immersed into the body of Christ by the Holy Spirit of God upon belief, when we are sealed in Him.

It's not in scripture my friend.

well you know i like you, you know, you very sincere person.

I like your sincere questions to as well, for me, when I read scripture I place it on my heart and i don't let go of it until its tied, i meditate on just one verse at a time i do.

well in the understanding you know that I take to the lord.

I get afraid to let go when I read scripture, I get afraid to store the wrong understanding, and I seek the lord in love to help me receive the correct understanding, I wait for hours with the same one verse stored on my heart, you know asking the Lord to tie my heart with the correct understanding.

I read the scripture and I place it on my heart,

I keep it there you know, and it gets tied in my heart, and I even remember the verse you and I don't just tie it, the understanding.

But the lord don't tell me to store the numbers so I don't

And I take it to the before I tie it in my heart, take it to the lord and I say Lord tied this correct understanding to my heart you know.

It's not me that ties it I'm sure I'm sure it's the Lord.

I'm confident it's the Lord with all my heart I know.

It's the lord giving me his wisdom.

I hear you. However, I don't know everything and am always amazed when someone shows me something that I have missed. But when I read Magenta's post, I thought of something, and it wasn't what the Jews said, but it's what they didn't say. What I mean is that when John the Baptist began water Baptizing, the Jewish rulers and authorities never condemned the practice. We read of how the Jews condemned the Message of the Way, but I'm pretty sure that the Baptism wasn't even mentioned (by them).

well you know i like you, you know, you very sincere person.
Thank you so much. I'd like to see more people say kind and positive things to each other, here. We are on display to any non-Christian to watch how we treat each other. Maybe if we were nicer to each other, we wouldn't be hated quite so much. :)

I hear you to.

I'm wanting to find in there standing with the lord.

All this towing and throwing from scripts spoke at different intervals is an issue.

These scripture are missed, because people are only seeing the lord speak his commands from righteous men. But not seeing them moved by the Holy spirit and the authority

They are not seeing the people who they are speaking to at most.

They are not humbling themselves before the lord.

They are only placing them selves in the position of the men of authority.

And there not seeing the authority of God.

It's about Jesus priesthood his humanity how he became a man , faced sufferings and every temptation we do but he never sinned he overcame temptation lived a holy life facing mankind's plight experiencing mankind's Infirmities and even death which man brought upon themselves . There's about two or three chapters talking about that in hebrews

Chapter 2
14Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; 15And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. 16For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham. 17Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. 18For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted."

Chaoter5

14Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. 15For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. 16Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Which leads to the scripture your wondering about

7Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared; 8Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; 9And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him; 10Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec.

We know Jesus is God the creator but we have a hard time with he became a man and made himself subject to God to be our high priest and intercessor we did t have a perfect man to intercede now we do

I agree with this. Jesus’ ”perfection” in this context is not referring merely to his sinlessness as if he were imperfect beforehand. He was always perfect. However, he became the perfect intercessior and sacrifice as a result of his obedience. Because Jesus was a man, like us, his obedience and willingness to submit to the Father’s will enabled him to be the perfect high priest that was required. The context of Hebrews shows that previous high priests not only sacrificed for the sins of the people, but also their own sins. Yet Jesus was made perfect as a result of his enduring trials and temptations as we do, yet overcame those temptations. Thus, we know that in whatever ways we fail, Christ did not. Therefore, he can intercede on our behalf because he has endured what we endure, yet remained obedient.

God What f course knows all but In the ot he had never experienced the position of a man being flesh and blood bound to death it’s odd to think but he’s never known the feeling ( not the knowledge ) but the actual feeling of temptation because he was not yet in the flesh

“Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.

For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭2:17-18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.

For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭4:14-16‬ ‭

If you notice in tbe Old Testament God said this after man sinned and was corrupt

“And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭6:3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

In the nt he became the man without sin and then was raised back up into the heavens to be the intercessor and merciful high priest and advocate who knows man’s plight and has experienced man’s dispostion

“And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.”
‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭3:16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

It just struck me deep . . . what if Jesus had disobeyed? He couldn't have become the Perfect High Priest. This proves to us that He is, indeed, our Perfect High Priest.

Scripture doesn't represent one point of time, its impossible to fit it all together.

I see it time and time again.

Im being asked to piece a scripture togeather 2000 years apart that was spoke in different light.

For instance the bible Quotes people in a way to reason with people who haven't accepted the previous reason. So the previous reason is not lost but missed.

Its like tryin to work out free will.

Is it only the madness of free will that thinks it could piece the whole book together.

Hello, Thunder. :)

A Prayer of Moses the man of God. LORD, You have been our dwelling place in all generations. Before the mountains were brought forth, Or ever You had formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God. You turn man to destruction, And say, "Return, O children of men." For a thousand years in Your sight Are like yesterday when it is past, And like a watch in the night. You carry them away like a flood; They are like a sleep. In the morning they are like grass which grows up: In the morning it flourishes and grows up; In the evening it is cut down and withers. For we have been consumed by Your anger, And by Your wrath we are terrified. You have set our iniquities before You, Our secret sins in the light of Your countenance. For all our days have passed away in Your wrath; We finish our years like a sigh. The days of our lives are seventy years; And if by reason of strength they are eighty years, Yet their boast is only labor and sorrow; For it is soon cut off, and we fly away. Who knows the power of Your anger? For as the fear of You, so is Your wrath. So teach us to number our days, That we may gain a heart of wisdom.

Hi selah selah, what ever will be will be, the future is history,

What say selah.. please say no way

I know patience is like a Jewel to the lord,

It's also grows over time like his expanding universe.

As his time passes by his light multiplies with his light and it expands with his everlasting fatherhood, expanding life gives more light and life

And his patience is mainly in on holding onto his life giving life, to keep it shielded from the darkness. And as his patience shines his light produces jewels that shine so bright they would blind you, but not blind you 😂 you know what I mean.

You know about the time standing still for the lord is because he is time as well.

Everlasting father and he is called wonderful counsellor.

Wow . . . you are a very deep individual. :D

I have actually been writing about the Story of God in a timeline, chronological order (so thankful the Lord showed me this Way), and it is an incredible thing to see (in my mind) the Story of God in something like a picture. It is as if I can see their history in my mind, kind of like self-reflection where we get something like a picture of ourselves (within our own minds).

Putting it all together in one moment . . . I cannot fathom this! :D
