New International Version
With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse human beings, who have been made in God's likeness

Apostle James cursed people?

He is not apostle then

It is figure of speech for discussion

The same R7

R8 saying development and changes
James 3
Taming the Tongue
Not many of you should become teachers, my fellow believers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly. We all stumble in many ways. Anyone who is never at fault in what they say is perfect, able to keep their whole body in check. When we put bits into the mouths of horses to make them obey us, we can turn the whole animal. ...

James talks of us the people to tame our tongues, turn to God and see how God tamed his tongy=ue and not said a word on his way to that cross that he did not fight back on.
Amazing, then James explains how the human tongue is as a fire that, steals, kills and destoys us the people in fighting one another

Ask God for the "Art of Fighting without fighting"

Ask God to tame our tongues, believe God can and then God will reveal the truth to you how to tame it in love and mercy as he has done for us by Son to us,
Thanks

Well, this is certainly a crazy thing for Paul to say, unless he had grown exponentially since Romans Chapter 7 . . .

2 Corinthians 1:12 CSB - "Indeed, this is our boast: The testimony of our conscience is that we have conducted ourselves in the world, and especially toward you, with godly sincerity and purity, not by human wisdom but by God's grace."

What is the Grace of God? All the Works of Christ that make a person Holy, Righteous, and Pure. Circumcision of heart, Repentance, Holy Spirit, and Jesus's death on the cross. It is the Grace of God that we are given new hearts. It is the Grace of God that we are granted Repentance. It is the Grace of God that we are sent the Holy Spirit. It is by the Grace of God that His Son would be sent to Earth to do His Perfect Will. It is by these things that Paul could ask his readers to follow him in his speech and behavior.

Question, according to Paul's Words below, was his heart Purified in Romans 7?

2 Timothy 2:22 NIV - "Flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart."

Hey, that's very cool. Now, when a person can EXPLAIN how Grace Eternally Saves a Child of God, is vastly different from DESCRIBING the Gospel. Everyone can describe an engine, but few can explain how they operate.

Ezekiel 36:25-27 NLT - 25 "Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean. Your filth will be washed away, and you will no longer worship idols. 26 And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart. 27 And I will put my Spirit in you so that you will follow my decrees and be careful to obey my regulations.

What could possibly be more important for a Christian to understand than the process of Salvation above? Yet, only an extreme few dare to discuss these incredible and Holy Words above, for if a person spoke of them, their own lips would condemn them. Hence, the "church" doesn't teach the above concept either, for if it did, their liberal ways would condemn them.

That was God who does it, did it and continues in his mercy given all people to reveal truth God loves us

1 Corinthians 13:4-7

King James Version

4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

Now, I see from en. the first born me, I fail in all three verses or have failed at one time or another, I need God and do want it all taken out of me in this unredeemed flesh body I am in, anyone else?

2 Corinthians 12:7-10

King James Version

7 And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.
8 For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.
9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

How can one, anyone be at ease and see God's grace given them as sufficient for them? How can one, anyone get out from that choke hold, the literal Law has on them, trying to do what no flesh can do perfectly ever as is done by Son for them?

See the teeter-totter, up and down one and many continue to go? Trying to be good enough, when no other flesh but Son's will ever please God! And did that on that cross for us the people, to stand in thanksgiving and praise to this truth of God for them. Psalms 100:4 fulfilled for us to do that verse prediction then, before the cross of Son for us to be new in the risen Son, by belief alone, not of work(s) if is of work(s) then we the people will boast and me I see I cannot boast at all
Just be thankful seeing this truth as fulfilled by risen for us all to turn to God Father in belief too.

To yell this too, It is finished!

John 19:30

King James Version

30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

Psalm 103:12

King James Version

12 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

Fulfilled for us to get that choke hold on our necks removed from being under Law to upholding Law as good, seeing it is us the first born flesh and blood that does any sin in us,. therefore die daily too first born self please

The clean water he promised to pour out

“Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.”
‭‭John‬ ‭15:3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

This is how grace saves people

“For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.”
‭‭Titus‬ ‭2:11-15‬

it’s a reference to the gospel

“the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, “

“And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.”
‭‭John‬ ‭1:16-17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;”

“And he taught them many things by parables, and said unto them in his doctrine,”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭4:2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭5:24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And they were astonished at his doctrine: for he taught them as one that had authority, and not as the scribes.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭1:22‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And he went forth again by the sea side; and all the multitude resorted unto him, and he taught them.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭2:13‬ ‭

We learn to repent and live upright lives when we start accepting his word that’s grace hear Jesus word and believe he teaches us

“I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭13:3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

If ye love me, keep my commandments. ….He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.”
‭‭John‬ ‭14:15, 21, 23-24‬ ‭

jesus words give grace when we dont reject them as he’s teaching us to repent and live upright lives n this world while we wait for his return that’s what grace does to save us

“In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”

Believe God, receive from God and see new ending up for me at least, doing it automatically, The Love and mercy given me, not having to think it over again. Thinking it over brings doubt, and that gets me back in sin. Take all thought captive to the obedience of Christ the risen one, for each one of us to believe and stand in that truth given us not having to repent again, you are in God by God through Son for you, not mankind ever.

yes in order to believe God you have to hear what he said

“How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

I am nobody, God is all in all, as Jesus the Son is the one and only ambassador for us the people to turn to God his Father and believe God Father in the Holy Spirit reaching out to us all in God's Spirit and Truth, ever present since Pentecost on earth in Spirit and Truth. The Makings of man continues to get in the way in not seeing the true interpretation of scripture as God sees it all. as far as I see the east that is from the west is forever.
God by Son has taken all sin and placed it as far as the east is from the west Psalms 103:12 done in Son as said is in John 19:30
Then to see Hebrews 9:14-17 might help us the people in willing belief to God to interpret the true scriptures in them for them to be freed from mankind's traps to not be in and bring doubt as was and is still done today, all through the First (Old ) testament, into the New
The Gospels before the willing death of Jesus are of the Old (first) Testament, being, getting fulfilled in Son, Jesus for us to be freed in belief to what is now done for us all, in the risen Son
God tells me and all, the truth to each person, believing God no matter what troubles happen upon them whether past, present or future.

According to Paul's own words, he was separated and alienated from God.

Colossians 1:21 NLT - "This includes you who were once far away from God. You were his enemies, separated from him by your evil thoughts and actions."

Because Paul was begging for a Savior in R7, wouldn't this indicate the he, himself was "far away from God"? Wasn't he an enemy of the Lord? According to his own self-description, wasn't Paul telling us that he was separated from God? Again, he was begging for a Savior, indicating that he wasn't saved. Let's not forget that R7 is about behavior, for he states that his mind was dominated by sin and death. Could anyone give a more clear description of their Spiritual status? What else could he have said that would cause us to believe that he was a child of the Devil?

He said it himself that he couldn't stop sinning. Wouldn't this mean that he was separated from the Lord because of his hostile, alienated mind? Why do these words apply to others, but not seemingly to himself?

And yet . . . the majority of Paul's teachings include Purity, Righteousness, and Holiness. And as he describes himself in this way, and as he makes it clear that his sin life is non-existent, Christians do not relate [that] Paul. Instead, Christians relate to the evil and corrupt Paul.

Why would a true Christian relate to sin, death, and corruption, but not words of Righteousness, Purity, and Holiness? Well? Why? Why do Christians relate to sin, but not Purity?

Pastors . . . you have failed.
You have stated that Paul was perfectly holy.

And yet . . . the majority of Paul's teachings include Purity, Righteousness, and Holiness. And as he describes himself in this way, and as he makes it clear that his sin life is non-existent, Christians do not relate Paul. Instead, Christians relate to the evil and corrupt Paul.
Now we read from Paul's letter to the Philippians.

Philippians 3:12
Not that I have already grasped it all or have already become perfect, but I press on if I may also take
hold of that for which I was even taken hold of by Christ Jesus.

An open admission that Paul was still very active in the war between the spirit and the flesh.

Do not be deceived, we are involved in that battle every day of our Christian lives.

Galatians 5:17
For the desire of the flesh is against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition
to one another
, in order to keep you from doing whatever you want.

Hello friends,

I'm doing a bit of writing on the true character of Paul and would like to get a feel of the percentage of what Christians think about what Paul said of himself in the unbelievable Romans Chapter 7. Thanks!!
Greek has a perfectly serviceable past-tense grammar and Paul makes eloquent use of the language.

... and Romans 7 is written in present tense.

AMEN

I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: but I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭9:26-27‬ ‭

everyone in this world in the flesh is in that struggle and can in Christ overcome by his spirit. We aren’t spectators but participants

Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.”
‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭5:6-9‬ ‭

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.”

But Paul [is] Perfect and Holy. The Day he received the same Blessings Abraham received, he was Hooooooooly. :)
Paul is only righteous because Jesus is righteous.

We have no personal righteousness through anything we could achieve.

Paul had a perfect, positional righteousness as we do in Christ.

Abraham was reckoned to be righteous because he believed God.

Salvation, holiness, etc., are received in gift form from the Lord.

Neither Abraham or Paul would dare to think that they were righteous, not before God almighty.

So if we have been given the gift of a Purified heart, we shouldn't speak about it? That would explain so, so much. When a person goes to church, you hear people talk about their favorite hamburger joint, the next gun safety class, etc. But to talk about what the Lord has done for our Spiritual condition? No way! Absolutely not! We will NOT talk about how the Lord Purifies and makes forever Holy those who belong Him. What a wretched, horrific thing to do, so as to discuss the Holy Works of Christ.
