Flirting is Not a Sin, If You Do It Right

Some people understand the word in a different way. Flirting means different things to different people. For some people it is understood in the context of dating alone. What YOU call flirting, my dad would call just being open and friendly with people. He is always putting on a funny voice...

    Carry The Impossible Burden

It's my job to rephrase things in a way people will remember. That's why God told me to be a preacher. I know it wasn't for my good looks...

    Carry The Impossible Burden

Eh... I like my phrasing better. It makes people smile, which increases the probability they will remember it.

    Carry The Impossible Burden

Interesting analogy... I have before made the observation that a bad mood is contagious, like a cold. And like a cold, the best way to keep from spreading it is to keep my mouth shut.

What can you do if you’re a non-elect?

I picked up a few extra cans of whack at Walmart the other day. It's on the next aisle past the elbow grease, just to the left of the headlight fluid. If the Calvinist is out of whack I can help a brother out.

Hockey is quite distinctive in its terminology. No cheat sheet required. Fight, stick, fight, puck, ice, fight, they're talking about hockey.

    Sports Thread

Alt-text for that comic: I would subscribe to a Twitter feed that supplied you with one reasonable sports opinion per day, like "The Red Sox can't make the playoffs (championship games), but in last night's game their win seriously damaged the chances of the Yankees (longstanding rival team)."

Ah, sports... Hang on. Let me get out my cheat sheet. Ah, here we go. So... Baseball? Y'all are talking about baseball right now?

    (Potentially) Profound Thoughts

Yeah I hear the second part of that verse quoted a LOT more than the full verse.

    There's no "The One"

Hmm... This forum's reaction system is very limited. "Useful" is about the best fit I can find. But that was a very useful testimony.

    There's no "The One"

Jimmy and Mary were quite the pair Back in their younger days They met and married in six weeks' time And that was sixty years ago this May - Steven Curtis Chapman Don't get me wrong. There's nothing at all wrong with keeping an eye out for a potential spouse, or even actively searching for...

God’s COVID-19 Jubilee Dever Gadol (Plague) - Death For Death

Wait... I think I've seen that before.

    There's no "The One"

That's not what I was talking about at all. I was talking about the difference between the haves and the have nots. Those who focus on and appreciate what they have and those who focus on and complain about what they have not. I know some people like gojira on this forum, people who focus on...

    There's no "The One"

Well... Maybe. Sometimes people seek God first and realize there is no one for them. But the more they seek God, the more that doesn't matter to them. ;)

    NONE-Dating Senior Chat

Howdy and welcome to the forum. This thread was started back in 2009. We still had live chat rooms back then. We don't have them now and we have no signs that we can hope to ever get them back. The forum is all we got now.

The sun is flat, unlike the earth.

This ain't my farce so what I am about to say may be retconned at any time by the initiator of this thread. The moon is an evil platypus trick. Platypus tries to imitate the sun, but is too feeble to make an imitation nearly as bright. Platypus can't even make the imitation consistently...

    Bible Dictionaries

Sorry... That didn't actually answer your question at all. But it's all I got.

    Bible Dictionaries

Be careful with words that have multiple meaning when you use those bible dictionaries. I've seen a LOT of preachers get off on a rabbit trail when they latch onto a meaning they like, but it is not supported at all by the context of the scripture they are reading.

    Carry The Impossible Burden

I recently broke this down and analyzed it for my own satisfaction. I do what is right because it is the only way that does not cause damage. It sometimes seems pointless when people all around me are blithely doing what is wrong and wrecking their own lives and everything around them. Why...

    There's no "The One"

Huh... I haven't had a bona fide date in 46 years, and it hasn't made me bitter. Maybe it's just you?
