God preserved his life.
I'm not sure you understand the big picture. If Ishmael was the line through which God was going to accomplish His purposes, the history recorded in the Bible would reflect this. Instead, he is juxtaposed with Isaac deliberately by God to reveal the difference between the line of promise and what is characteristic of the 2 lines of humanity...spiritual verses natural.
A good example of this was just mentioned by @ZNP. Ishmael was born of a bondwoman. He is not an heir.
to me you where behaving like a twit following other people's ideas. Me calling you a twit is no different to you calling me goofy.

You done this often because your to kind. People send you friendly gestures and then you decide to take favour with other points of view they have.

Sarah wanted Hagar to have a child to Abraham. How can you call her a bond woman.

Hagar was a slave.

What has she done wrong other than follow her master orders.

This is why i called you a twit.

God heard Hagar cries for help of how Sarah was becoming jealous of her.

You may not see that but I do.

.maybe you will but I don't expect you to agree.

What's annoying me most here is your bringing other people opinions into this who have insinuated lots of things and I'm a bit annoyed because I was having the impression we where friends.

Then on top of this you disagree with something that really you should of not disagreed with. God was a father to Ishmeal.

But you've done this because you've fallen for the victim card from other members here, who have won you over in a very sly way.
God was with the boy as he grew up. He lived in the desert and became an archer.

I'm not offended.
And his line of thought was an example of what I was trying to convey to you. And I didn't want to use his thoughts without crediting it to him.
And, I never feel like a victim. I'm not bothered by people's words or actions towards me. That was the sentiment that I was expressing to another poster. I didn't respond in kind towards you.
And lastly, I don't believe agreement is the basis of friendship. If it were, no one would have any friends. It is true that God heard Hagar's prayer, God did bless Ishmael, and Sarah sinned in her dealings with Hagar. And there is wisdom to be garnered by understanding what God is teaching concerning them. But none of them are primarily in view. They are ancillary characters and represent types of people. In writing this is called a concrete universal. A particular character is used to represent or symbolize a group or an idea. So while they were real people, what characterizes them is part of the message being conveyed. This is what I was attempting to share.

I either agree with someone or I don't. If I believe someone is in error, I share my understanding.
When someone shares with me something different than I have stated, I assume they are doing so because they desire my good and are being helpful. I won't always agree with their understanding, but I don't doubt their sincerity.

my wife's sister son just called her son Cameron.

It's a nice name.

You know we do have to give people the benefit of the doubt and take there word as face value.

At the same time tho you can't drop your guard on the internet and leave your self wide open.

I believe in not being to critical most of the time.
But certain condescending patterns get me annoyed when they become continuous, I see many member here who not like that, all in all it's not bad.

I could even be seen as condescending if I was just having a little complaint about something, and someone wasn't in the mood for listening to my complaint. Generally I will listen to people's complaints at first

There are many sensitive people out there and really you have to normally start any new friendships on a get to know basis first.

Well I feel this is the way to go with any new friendship really.

You find out what your friend can handle and what they can not.

But to be honest I'm having a hard time seeing all theese doctrines emerge. Where by hatred is incited

Ok well I'll give things another go and take your advice that the person I'm in disagreement with is sincere or has a level of sincerity. And that he means we'll. But being told my wife is dead like that as truly left a wound in me, and he has not apologised and rubbed further salt in to my wounds, anyway I'm still waiting for sincerity

I want to know how I can take all of Daniel's prophecies as sincere when none of Ishmaels can be taken sincere tho.

When we can establish a nation will arise from Ishmeal and Ishmeal is still yet to be fulfilled then we talk with more sincerity.

People forget that in those days many if not close to all in Isreal will be treacherous,

And the prophecies of Ishmaels descendants will be avenging those who are Dishonored, should not be just dismissed.

Since all those in Isreal will be treacherous that leaves no stone unturned, and there should be more readings allowed to be talked about as im not happy of being belittled for my insight.

I have never understood why Ishmeal was or has never been seen as prophet.

Especially since his name Ishmeal means God hears me 😊

You shall name him Ishmael, for the LORD has heard of your misery. He will be a wild donkey of a man; his hand will be against everyone and everyone's hand against him, and he will live in hostility toward all his brothers."

As Ishmeal grew up God was with him and he became an archer

.What does Genesis 37:28 mean?
Except for Reuben, who was not present (Genesis 37:22), Joseph's older brothers have agreed to sell him as a slave to the Ishmaelites (Genesis 25:23–27). In this verse, the specific group passing by are referred to "Midianite" traders. Scholars suggest that by this point in history, nomadic tribes in the region were referred to as "Ishmaelites," whether they were specifically descended from Hagar's son (Genesis 25:12) or not. This group of nomads were Midianites, descended from Abraham's concubine Keturah (Genesis 25:1–2).

Joseph is lifted out the pit and handed over to the traders in exchange for 20 shekels of silver. Apparently, this was the going rate for a teenage slave at the time. Joseph's brothers profited from his sale. They assume they have seen the last of Joseph as he is hauled away to Egypt. Instead, God will use their cold-hearted actions to bring Joseph's dreams to reality in the most unexpected of ways (Genesis 42:6; 50:20).

Looks like someone has had the same insight as me that the midianites where the Ishmaelites 😊
