I've searched for Biblical answers that would explain this mysterious passage, but haven't found any.

NO OPINION?

1.) On almost all of your threads, you begin by saying you have NO OPINION on something... which gets everyone arguing.

2.) Then a bit later, it turns out you DO HAVE AN OPINION, which seems to indicate... you must have lied.

I believe mother's have a grave duty on their hands in guiding their babies into grown adults. Train up a child...and it will not depart from it...

To me it formats well with James...
20 let him know that he that turns a sinner back from the error of his ways shall save a soul from death, and cover a multitude of sins.

The child is in this example is the sinner and the mother guides the child to God and saves the child's soul and covers a multitude of sins.

Romans 12:10 NLT - "Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other."

The context of the chapter is the comparison between contention (without anger or dissension) and stillness (she is not to fret over her husband's ignorance). Stillness helps to mitigate stress and stress is most dangerous in childbirth.

LOL. What?? And someone in this thread said that this passage isn't a "mustery." If this is the solution, then the passage in question is definitely a Mystery. :)

I don't get what you're saying, but I'm open to it. :D

“Saved” in this passage does not mean “go to heaven when you die”.

Whether real or perceived, how many forum threads have been devoted to a woman's frustration about her husband's belief system. And how many times has she found the solution in the form of changing his approach rather than changing her own? That is, she is to be 'at peace', or be still and know... That a woman can be 'saved' in childbirth suggests a possibility that she can be 'lost' in childbirth, and I do not believe this is intended to mean that she can go to hell by childbirth. It is a fact that stress is a primary factory that physicians and midwives attempt to keep at a minimum during childbirth because of its detrimental effects upon the process.

As I often say, we are Christian Brothers and Sisters in Christ . . . let us Love each other as we discuss our Beloved Bible.

1 Timothy 2:15 NLT - "But women will be saved through childbearing, assuming they continue to live in faith, love, holiness, and modesty."

I am studying 1 Timothy for the day and am wondering what you scholars think about the above passage. I've searched for Biblical answers that would explain this mysterious passage, but haven't found any.

Thanks!
i don't think atheist pregnant women will be saved just because they are pregnant. the child will be saved but not the mother. that's my take on this.

You don't get to lie to the forum, then pretend to be a victim when someone points out the lie.

This is what manipulators do.
Any woman who's ever been abused, has seen this manipulation and gaslighting.
Any person who's dealt with a cult, has seen this manipulation and gaslighting.
Any person who's dealt with left-wing activists, has seen this manipulation and gaslighting.

This is pure manipulation.
Biblically, we are to call out deception that is harming the community.

“Saved” in this passage does not mean “go to heaven when you die”.
So, it seems to me that the following three verses set the stage, at least in terms of whether or not this "saving" is in relationship Salvation, and it appears that it is.

1 Timothy 2:4-6 NLT - ". . . who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth. For there is only one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity--the man Christ Jesus. He gave his life to purchase freedom for everyone. This is the message God gave to the world at just the right time."

A mother does not save her child, Jesus does

Reading your post just reminded me of something very interesting that Paul also said in this Epistle.

This is interesting: Looking ahead to Chapter 5, is it possible that Paul might be suggesting that childbirth will save a woman in principal? In the verses below, we find that Paul suggests that by allowing younger women to remarry, they can give birth to children. The idea he makes is that because some of them did not remarry, they turned and served the Devil instead. I'm assuming this means that they began enjoying one sexual partner after another, paying no reverence to the Laws of God.

1 Timothy 5:11-15 NLT - "The younger widows should not be on the list, because their physical desires will overpower their devotion to Christ and they will want to remarry. Then they would be guilty of breaking their previous pledge. And if they are on the list, they will learn to be lazy and will spend their time gossiping from house to house, meddling in other people's business and talking about things they shouldn't. So I advise these younger widows to marry again, have children, and take care of their own homes. Then the enemy will not be able to say anything against them. For I am afraid that some of them have already gone astray and now follow Satan."

Veddy, veddy interesting.

I am here to speak with people who know they need a healer. You definitely don't need a healer.

Please move on and stop addressing me.

Romans 14:18-19 NLT - "If you serve Christ with this attitude, you will please God, and others will approve of you, too. So then, let us aim for harmony in the church and try to build each other up."

Women are not saved spiritually during childbirth. The only way is thru Jesus (John 14:6 "I am the way the truth and the life. No man cometh unto the Father except by Me.")
