There's a church nearby that's teaching an hour-long dance class tomorrow night (the shag!) and then two hours of free dancing.

*so tempted*
oh come on, you HAVE TO DO IT! actually, that sounds like a lot of fun.

i haven't taken any dance classes since this spring. but i firmly believe in daily dancing.

class followed by a dance??? even better. : )

The weather is bad here today. Of course we still have to go to my Son's basketball game at 4. I'm a little irked that they didn't cancel it. They've shut down roads and been having trouble all day, but we still have to have a basketball game! If I didn't have to hand in this form to them I wouldn't take them. Oh Happy Valentine's day! RRRR...

I'm just going to continue not caring about Valentine's Day. It's the most pointless holiday out there. I don't even want to celebrate it if/when I do get a boyfriend!

I have never really associated V-Day with romantic love in particular. I've always just seen it as a day to reflect on love in all it's forms. Then again, I'll use any excuse to eat at IHOP, so maybe that plays into it too.

Maybe this is also because I see Valentine's Day through the eyes of children all the time. I painted for a school party yesterday (42 kids in 80 minutes, woohoo!) and it was just so awesome to see the kids all passing out their valentines to their friends. Each child took home a box full of notes of kindness and encouragement from their classmates. That just makes my whole day.

You know I have generally been indifferent to Valentine's Day since I have been unattached most of them, but then I moved to Ohio. In this region of the country they have a holiday called Sweetest Day that occurs in October. It is basically a 2nd Valentine's Day! So if you don't like having one a year, imagine dealing with 2.

It is funny, because I read its origin came from a group of candy makers in Cleveland just trying to boost sales.

Well, I think I can say that I've actually had my first legit argument with another Christian. Yay.

I was going to stop at a certain point since Jesus even says that if a person doesn't agree or want to hear then walk away. Ended up continuing on. Got to the point we accused as to how valid our faith was and truth be told, I don't know how valid mine is. I do know that we're not supposed to jump down people's throats if they don't agree with us.

-sighs-

Welcome to being human and pride.....we all have it and miss use it at times and then we feel like a jerk....Jesus was right it is better to walk away or turn the other cheek....I just had to apologize to someone myself.....
