Can anyone tell me why people take it upon themselves to tell others here to stay out of a specific forum, even though the person they told rarely even GOES to that forum???? Is it even possible for someone to not fit into a forum, or that they're better suited for a different forum?? what the heck.. I didn't realize that certain forums are only for certain people to enter.. :/ I was under the impression that ALL forums here are for ALL the people who wish to enter them.. maybe I was wrong..

dunno...........could read the Rules of the Forums I suppose.....as for me, there are several Forums here that I have never "entered." Simply because I do not relate to the Forum Subject/Category. That being said, if the person "telling you" to stay out of a particular Forum was not an Admin, or a Moderator, I wouldn't worry about it.

Tonight's message at church was rather challenging for me (where I am in life right now). I was feeling drained - physically, mentally and spiritually. I asked a friend to pray for me and he did. But then another friend asked me to pray for him concerning something he's been struggling with for a looong time and it's difficult to care when he goes on about the same thing for years. Any way, I wasn't in the mood to pray for him, but I felt God prompting me too. So I did. And it went okay, but I think God knew that I needed to be prayed for and filled up, before I was ready to pray for someone else. I don't know. It was good, but I really struggle with God sometimes.

I struggle with God alot, too.. specifically when it comes to praying and reading my bible.. I don't do either one nearly as often as I should, and I feel like an awful christian because of it. I have done alot of praying for healing of my back lately, but it seems as though God hears everyone else's prayers, but not my own. It's difficult waiting for an answer, especially since I've been bedridden since December with a herniated disc. It seems like forever that I've been waiting for healing, even though God is using the doctors and medicine to heal me.. I just wish he'd heal me a little faster..lol.. :) I hear where you're coming from, not wanting to pray for someone who doesn't appear to do anything to help themselves, but it's when we bless each other through prayer, that God blesses us in return. :)

you know, i'm content living alone with a dog most of the time.

until i spend five minutes this morning trying to do the zipper on a dress and then manage to get my hair caught in it.

oh, and i very nearly went over like a tree trying to clean something off the side of my boot.

let me tell you, it's one big adventure after another on sunday morning at gypsy's house.

You just have to train your dog to zip zippers while holding your hair up and warn you of any wayward trees! (Teach her to give you a bark to warn you about the "bark" that's in your way... :D)

I used to wear my hair in a lot of French braids (diagonals, upside-down, reverse French braids, etc.), and my co-workers, who KNEW I lived alone, always asked, "Oh wow! WHO DID YOUR HAIR???"

"WHY, MY TRAINED MONKEY, OF COURSE!!" was always my answer.

I am not one who normally cares about big weather changes, because I have experienced all sorts of weather all over the country. However, it was a little alarming to find a sheet of ice on my dashboard screen when I left to go to church this morning. After church, I decided to go to the store since I was already out and saw a bank sign that read -7 degrees. These would be the days I miss living much farther south.

I can tell you from southwest Tennessee that living further south totally rocks. When everyone else is talking about it being freezing it's not even at zero yet. If they think it's cold when it's at 20 degrees, you know it never really gets cold here.

Come on down hoss, we still got plenty of room.

Well if you really WANT to go through the Bible Discussions forum... I guess that's up to you.

Oh, that wasn't the forum they were talking about? Oh well. The BD forum is the only one I would advise newbies to avoid.

I don't think it's possible to burn out on Chipotle. And it's way healthier than most things people eat.

This is a weekend of disappointments.

While I was waiting for the last loaf of bread to cook (WHY do I always wind up with a multiple of 4 PLUS ONE loaves? cooking one loaf seems such a waste of time!) I decided I would pop down to the store and see what was left from the valentine's day candy. I wanted to make sure there would be something worthwhile to go for before I stayed up until midnight to get it on sale. Well... I'm glad that I made the trip and took a look instead of staying up until midnight. There was nothing, I mean NOTHING worthwhile. Oh sure, there were a few big hearts filled with kit kats, m&ms, etc but there was no real chocolate left. I got a tub of Blue Bell southern peach cobbler ice cream and went home to take the last loaf of bread out of the oven.

Today they are saying snow will begin falling around 6-ish, so they canceled church tonight. Major disappointment. I like going to church, being around normal people (as opposed to the grumps at work, which I do not consider habitual grumpiness to be normal) and praising God with others who are of like mind.

Speaking of which, since when does two inches of snow mean everything shuts down? I could drive in a foot of snow and get to my destination safely. Shoot there aren't even any hills worth the name "hill" around here. I learned to drive in east TN where we have more snow, more ice and real hills. These people down here in west TN would never make it up there. But they're my friends and kinfolk and I love them anyway - just irritates me when they panic over a whole, big, whopping two inches of snow.
